Product Description

Spine RF Ablation System SD2000

100 kHz Bipolar Plasma Platform for Disc Nucleoplasty, Facet Denervation and Spinal Soft Tissue Ablation

A Dedicated RF Platform for Spine Interventions

The SD2000 spine RF ablation system is a bipolar high frequency generator configured specifically for percutaneous spinal procedures. By delivering radiofrequency energy through saline-irrigated spine probes, the system forms a controlled plasma field at the electrode tip that dissolves disc and soft tissue at 40–70 °C, well below the 200–400 °C range of conventional monopolar electrosurgery.

For spine surgeons this means predictable decompression and denervation inside a narrow working corridor, with limited thermal spread toward the nerve root, dura and endplate. The generator is equally suited to hospital spine centres running high procedure volumes and to distributors building a complete minimally invasive spine portfolio.

Where the System Is Used
  • Disc nucleoplasty – percutaneous disc decompression for contained herniation and radicular pain
  • Facet joint denervation – RF lesioning of the medial branch for chronic low back pain
  • Annulus and discoplasty procedures – controlled tissue removal under fluoroscopy
  • Spinal soft tissue ablation – epidural scar, adhesion and granulation tissue management
  • Minimally invasive spine fusion support – haemostasis and tissue debridement in endoscopic and UBE corridors

Design Advantages for Spine Work
Low temperature ablation limits thermal injury to nerve root and endplate
Bipolar current path stays between electrodes, reducing collateral spread in the epidural space
Simultaneous ablation, coagulation and suction keeps the working channel clear
Nine ablation and six coagulation levels allow stepwise power titration per disc level
Stable plasma output control validated across the 40–70 °C working window
Single console also runs ENT, arthroscopy, urology and gynaecology programmes for wider tender coverage
Comparison with Conventional Electrosurgery
Parameter SD2000 RF Plasma Traditional Electrosurgery
Working temperature 40–70 °C 200–400 °C and above
Thermal spread Minimal, localised to electrode tip Significant collateral heating
Nerve root safety margin Wide Narrow
Haemostasis Controlled bipolar coagulation Higher thermal spread
Post-operative recovery Faster, less pain and oedema Longer recovery
Quality and Compliance
  • Manufactured under CE and ISO 13485 medical device quality system
  • Temperature regulation validated across the full 40–70 °C operating window
  • Medical-grade generator components with stable plasma output control
  • Factory-direct supply, OEM branding and probe portfolio customisation available
